| CommonThreadz does not pay interest to our lenders. Our loans are not an investment and we do not recommended them as an investment as such. |
|
| Microfinance is expensive and is one of the reasons small loans are not given by large banks. As such, CommonThreadz does charge interest (10%) to our entrepreneur microloan recipients. This enables us to handle the costs associated with the loans and to achieve self-sustainability. | |
| 100% of your loan is used to fund the borrowers that you choose and the borrowers receive the funds as soon as the loans are made. | |
| The entrepreneur / borrower repays the loan over time. Every month we collect repayments from our loan recipients and we provide those repaid funds to CommonThreadz lenders. We email the repayment updates to our CommonThreadz lenders. Repayment time varies for each loan but most are repaid within 6 to 12 months. | |
| When lenders get repaid, they can re-lend to another entrepreneur, donate their funds to CommonThreadz's work with orphans in Africa & Haiti, or withdraw their funds to a PayPal account. |
