Common Threadz makes a difference
Yesterday Common Threadz delivered relief food aid to a young mother and her three children in Ward 20, Obanjeni. Barely more than a child herself, her father passed away leaving her destitute and unwell. Her sole source of income is a child grant for two of her three children. This amounts to R248 (about $35) per month. She rents one bedroom for R100 (about $14) a month and pays school fees of R100 (about $14) a month – the balance she has left does not allow her to put food on the table, let alone clothe her children who range in age from 4 years to 1 year old. Thanks to Common Threadz, this little family will eat this month.
