Check mate!
The Common Threadz chess programme has resumed after a break for the children’s summer holidays. What a pleasure to work with such enthusiatic and keen learners – we are having to turn children away weekly as we have our quota for the month. The idea is that once proficient, these children will in turn teach others to play the game. We have seen children who can barely sit still for a minute come and focus fully for an hour – it has been truly rewarding to be involved in this programme.
